In order to open a JISA on a child’s behalf, the client must be their parent or registered legal guardian. It cannot be a grandparent, auntie, uncle, etc.
A third party can make a contribution to the JISA, but as it is coming from a bank account that is not registered to the client's record, the deposit will not be instantly applied (as it would be usually). In this instance, please notify us of the payment in advance, and ensure the payment reference is in the correct format, so that we can allocate the funds manually as soon as possible.
