Summary
We have received feedback from a number of firms regarding email notifications linked to contract notes. The feeling was that the communications were too frequent and not adding value for the client.
Previously, we sent out an email at 6pm on the day that a contract note, or multiple contract notes, were made available in the Client Portal, prompting the client to log in and view these. If trades were settling across several days, this meant that the client would receive multiple emails.
We have reviewed this functionality closely and listened to your feedback, and as a result we have taken the decision to suppress the notification emails.
How will this affect my clients?
Your client will still be able to log in to the client portal in order to retrieve their contract notes from within the ‘My Messages’ page, they just won’t receive an email notification to their email address going forwards.
How will this affect me?
You will still be able to retrieve all of your client’s contract notes from within the ‘Notifications’ tab within the client record.
N.B. contract notes are generated within 24 hours of a trade being executed.
When will this take effect?
This was effective from Thursday 29th August.
