The 2-way integration between the platform and the Plannr CRM system allows you to create clients and illustrations within one system, without the need to double key this. If you create an illustration in Plannr, this will create both the illustration document and a 'Registered' client record in the system.
When a client is in a Registered status, they have not received any emails from the platform as of yet. This is simply a 'draft' record which captures some of the client's key information, and you can then come back to this later to make them active and create their accounts - this can also be done through the Plannr integration! See here for how to do this.
If you were to create the client in the platform, there is an hourly sync which will pull through the client contact record in to Plannr, along with the illustration, so it does work both ways! And there is validation present to prevent duplication if it is a pre-existing client in either system.
Please note, this process is applicable to SIPP’s, GIA’s (individual and joint), ISA’s and JISA’s. Third party Offshore Bond, Third Party SIPP, Corporate and Trust Accounts should be created directly in the platform, and the two-way sync will ensure the client who owns any of these account types is synced into Plannr without having to rekey their information.
1.Open Plannr, select ‘quick actions’ and click on ‘add new client’
2. Fill in the client details. The minimum data points required in order to create an illustration are; Title, Forename, Surname, Email Address, DOB and Servicing Adviser. Then click save.
3. In the new client record, click ‘add new’ and select ‘illustration’:
4. Enter the information required including the wrapper type, investment strategy, charges information and transfer/payments in and out. Then click Save.
5. The illustration document will generate and the status will show as ‘Generated’ when it’s ready:
6. Click on the PDF file to open it.
7. In the meantime, if you log in to the platform you will find that this client appears with a ‘Registered’ status, and the illustration is present against their record:
There will also be a tag added to the Plannr record indicating it is linked with the platform:
8. If at any point you need to make amendments to the illustration, simply navigate to the existing illustration record in Plannr by going to Work > Illustrations:
9. Click on the relevant illustration record and under ‘Actions’ select ‘Copy to new draft’:
10. This will produce a second ‘copy of’ record. Then under Actions select ‘edit’, and all of the details will pull through to the create illustration screen, so you don’t have to re-input all of the information – just make the amendment required and again click save. The new illustration will also pull through to the client’s record in the platform.
From here you can create the account records through Plannr, and this is covered in a separate guide.
