- Within the platform, go to 'Reporting' tab and select the 'Line by line' - Report Menu:
2. Select the 'Fees' report:
3. You will then be presented with a report which shows all fee transactions generated within the past 7 days.
N.B. our reporting tool updates each evening with data for the day before, so these reports are STATIC and always 1 day behind.
4. You can then filter the dashboard to pull through the relevant information as follows:
5. If you have the fee payment reference, which will always be in the format; FEES WEEK 00, then you can simply set the fee transaction date to an appropriate range and then filter by the fee payment reference. The transaction date will need to go back to the 1st of the month prior to when you received the payment:
6. If you do not have the fee payment reference, you can manually filter the fee report to find the data you need:
Base firm node: If you are part of a larger network, you may need to amend which node you are reporting for, depending on where your fees are paid.
N.B. your user access will dictate what you see in this report. You will need to have been given access to the top firm node where fees are paid in order to see fees paid for the whole company in order to perform reconciliation duties. Speak to your Firm Admin about your access levels and amending these if necessary.
Fee transaction Date: this date refers to when the fee transaction was generated. For monthly fees, this is the 10th of the month, or the following working day if the 10th falls on a weekend. Ad Hoc/Initial fees can be generated throughout the week, and are paid weekly on a Friday. It's therefore likely that your monthly ongoing payment will contain ongoing fees for the previous month, and initial and ad hoc fees for the previous week. So, if you do not have the ability to filter by the payment reference, you will need to run two reports; one for the monthly ongoing, and one for the ad hoc and initial fees paid in the week before, amending the transaction date accordingly.
Fee Type: All fees are displayed in this report, including platform and DFM fees, so you may wish to filter to see only Adviser fees, of which there are three types:
- Adviser Fee - ongoing, set at account level and taken monthly via the automated process
- Adviser initial fee - initial, taken automatically off the back of a transfer/deposit
- Adviser ad hoc fee - ad hoc, taken manually from the client's account
