You will note that if you open an Active model and you click on 'Edit', you will only be able to change the following details:
- Model name
- Risk Rating
- Aim, Commentary & URL
- Suspend Rebalance
- Available to business/adviser (N.B. you may add additional advisers, but you cannot take them away within the UI, you would need to contact our Service Team to action this)
If you wish to update the funds, allocations, the portfolio asset mix and/or the products this model is available for, you will need to clone the existing model, and effectively create a new version. Below, we have outlined how you would do this in the platform:
- Log in to the platform and under the Tools tab, select Models:
- Click on the relevant model that you wish to clone:
- In the top right hand corner of the model details screen, select Clone:
- All of the existing model details will be copied across in to a new model form, and the name of the model will now include 'copy of'. We recommend you amend the name of the model to something easily identifiable, or you could also amend the name of the 'old' model to indicate it is an older version:
- Make the desired amendments, click on Review, and if you are happy with the changes click on Submit:
- A message will appear confirming the model has been created successfully, and this will now appear in the Advisory models list:
- The Accounts linked to the 'old' version of the model will need to be moved across one by one. See here for more detail on this process; Linking a client to an Advisory model.
