When a payment is auto-matched, this is applied to the client’s account immediately and any associated trades will commence.
The following must be true for a payment to be auto-matched and applied to a client’s account:
- An expectation has been submitted within the platform by the IFA firm
- The reference number is correct i.e. SODBG-accountid (if the account ID is 12345 the corresponding correct reference is then SODBG-12345)
- The amount matches the expectation (this must be exact)
- The bank details the payment has come from matches the bank details held on platform
- The client’s account must be active i.e. they have accepted platform terms, and any wrapper specific terms (SIPP’s and ISA’s)
If a payment cannot be auto-matched, our Service Centre Team will review the payment and then either contact you to take action, or we may be able to identify the payment from the details provided, in which case you can expect to see the payment applied by the following morning.
