No, clients must be UK residents to open an account with us. The system includes validation to prevent overseas clients from being set up.
Dual-resident clients, or those who spend part of the year in the UK, can open an account providing this is registered to their UK address.
If a client relocates outside of the UK, they may be allowed to maintain their existing account, but no new accounts will be permitted. This will depend on the country they move to — if moving to the US or another high-risk jurisdiction, we will no longer be able to offer them an account.
If your client is moving overseas, please contact us at servicecentre@soderbergpartners.com with the client ID and details of their new location. We will then advise you on the available options for the client.
