We are pleased to announce that you are now able to submit transfer-in cancellation requests directly through the platform.
When can a transfer be cancelled?
A cancellation request can only be submitted when the transfer is in one of the following statuses:
- With previous provider
- Awaiting documentation
- Verifying documentation
- Reviewing documentation
If the transfer is at any other stage, the platform will block cancellation requests automatically.
What’s new?
As part of this update, we have introduced two new transfer statuses to reflect cancellation activity:
- 'Pending cancellation' - The transfer is in the process of being cancelled.
- 'Cancelled' - The transfer has been successfully cancelled.
Once a cancellation request is submitted, the transfer status will update to ‘Pending cancellation'.
Please note: This action is irreversible. Ensure you are cancelling the correct transfer before proceeding. We will make every effort to cancel the transfer as requested; however, in some cases it may already be too far advanced in the process to stop. If this occurs, the transfer status will revert, and the process will continue as normal. We will contact you if we are unable to cancel the transfer, explain the reason, and discuss the next steps with you.
The below link will take you to the Self-Service Centre, where you will find a step-by-step guide on how to cancel a transfer.
