We’re pleased to introduce support for Additional Permitted Subscriptions (APS) a valuable feature that allows a surviving spouse or civil partner to make additional ISA subscriptions after the death of their partner.
APS allows the surviving partner to subscribe up to the value of the deceased’s ISA on the date of death, in addition to their standard ISA allowance.
Where both the deceased and the surviving partner hold their ISA on the same platform, we can currently support APS.
Future platform enhancements are to eventually support APS activity between platforms.
What do you need to provide?
Before we can begin APS processing, all documentation must be submitted to Söderberg for review. This can be done by emailing us at servicecentre@soderbergpartners.com
APS cannot progress until all documents have been received and validated.
Required Documents
| Document | Details |
| Death certificate | Scanned original or scanned certified copy only. Photographs are not accepted. |
| Proof of authority | One of: Grant of Probate, Certificate of Confirmation, Letters of Administration, Small Estates Form. Scanned original or scanned certified copy only. |
| Executor/administrator instruction letter | Signed confirmation of the withdrawal or asset transfer instructions, explicitly referencing APS. |
| APS Eligibility Declaration | Completed and signed. |
| Marriage or civil partnership certificate | Must evidence the relationship between the deceased and APS recipient. |
If any item is missing or incomplete, we will be unable to process the APS until it has been received.
What happens next?
Once this has all been received by our Service Centre Team, we will then pass this onto our back office for processing and they will arrange the transfer of assets from the deceased partners account to the surviving partners.
This transfer will not be counted as part of the clients ISA subscription but we will record the APS amount used for regulatory purposes.
The transfer will then show under the 'Report' section in the clients dashboard.
